Description

1900-S Ten Dollar, MS63
Surprisingly Scarce in Uncirculated

1900-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Despite its proximity to the common 1901-S, the 1900-S is scarce in Uncirculated grades, and an important rarity at the Select level. Only 81,000 pieces were struck, and given the number of pieces certified in XF and AU, it seems obvious that most examples were placed in West Coast circulation rather than set aside as bank reserves. The present lustrous and sharply struck representative is refreshingly smooth aside from a couple of minor marks on the shield. Population: 18 in 63, 3 finer (8/13).
