Description
Elusive 1900-S Liberty Eagle, MS63
1900-S $10 MS63 PCGS. Despite its proximity to the common 1901-S, the 1900-S is scarce in Uncirculated grades, and an important rarity at the Select level. Only 81,000 pieces were struck, and given the number of pieces certified in XF and AU, most examples were placed in West Coast circulation rather than set aside as bank reserves. The present lustrous and attentively struck representative is refreshingly smooth aside from a couple of concealed marks on the shield. Population: 12 in 63, 3 finer (12/07).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 267N, PCGS# 8746, Greysheet# 9529)
