Description
Terrific Choice 1900-S Eagle
1900-S $10 MS64 PCGS. Though the 1900-S commands little premium over type in moderately circulated grades, like other lower-mintage branch mint issues that experienced heavy circulation, it commands a substantial price in Select and better grades. The immensely appealing near-Gem offered here ranks among the finest examples known today. The portrait and stars on the obverse are bold, and the eagle exhibits crisp detail. The shining surfaces are predominantly yellow-orange, though a few tiny copper dots appear near the devices and an area of peach is present around the word OF on the reverse. While the coin's overall appearance is clean, a few pinpoint marks on the cheek and grazes in the nearby fields preclude a finer grade. Population: 2 in 64, 1 finer (8/07).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 267N, PCGS# 8746, Greysheet# 9529)
