Description

1903 Liberty Ten Dollar, MS66
Frosty Condition Census Rarity

1903 $10 MS66 PCGS. The 1903 is common in grades through MS64, but it is surprisingly scarce in MS65 with a current PCGS population of only 15 Gems and four MS66 coins numerically finer, one of which is the present coin. NGC lists a single coin in MS66, and neither service reports a higher-grade example.

We have previously handled the lone NGC coin on two occasions, in 2019 and 2020, respectively, and we have only seen one other PCGS coin in this grade besides the current offering; an MS66 PCGS CAC coin in our December 2012 Signature realized $22,325. This Premium Gem displays vibrant, satiny yellow-gold luster that illuminates sharp design elements. Neither side has distracting abrasions.
