1903-S Ten Dollar, MS67
Perfect for Type Purposes
1903-S $10 MS67 NGC. This date is considered to be one of
the most common Liberty eagles issued in the 20th century, although
Superb Gem examples are rarely seen. Just eight such coins have
been certified, and only three times previously have we sold such a
remarkable coin. A survey of auction records over the past 18 years
reveals the true rarity of Superb Gem specimens. This particular
specimen has bold design details with bright, frosty orange-gold
surfaces that are slightly deeper on the reverse. Few abrasions of
any significance are evident on the lovely surfaces. Census: 5 in
