Description

1906 Ten Dollar, Frosty MS66
Condition Census Rarity

1906 $10 MS66 PCGS Secure. The 1906 Liberty eagle is a major rarity in Premium Gem condition and nearly uncollectible finer. The last time an MS66 coin appeared at public auction was in the Central States Signature (Heritage, 4-5/2010), lot 2291, where a PCGS coin realized $21,850. A finer example of this issue has not made an auction appearance in more than a decade. We are pleased to offer this piece, a sharp, shimmering type coin with remarkably clean, frosty surfaces. Eye appeal is outstanding. Original yellow-gold luster produces hints of greenish and rose color at certain angles. Certainly a Condition Census coin and one of the finest pieces we have seen. Population: 2 in 66, 3 finer (9/18).(Registry values: N4719)
