Description

1907 Liberty Head Eagle, Lustrous MS65
Difficult at This Grade Level

1907 $10 MS65 PCGS. CAC. A large quantity of the 1.2 million Liberty Head ten dollar coins ended up in European vaults where they reposed for decades before returning to America. Consequently, the 1907 is one of the more common dates of the series as seen by the nearly 40,000 examples graded by PCGS and NGC. Collectors will have no difficulty locating the 1907 through near-Gem, but the population then declines precipitously. Slightly more than 100 Gems exist but virtually none finer.

Pleasing luster emanates from the yellow-gold surfaces of this Gem and all the design elements are sharply struck. Occasional light marks are within the parameters of the grade designation. This piece yields very nice eye appeal and will satisfy the most discriminating collector. Population: 24 in 65, 0 finer (10/14).(Registry values: N4719)
