    1841-O Ten Dollar, AU Details
    Second-Rarest O-Mint Eagle

1841-O $10 -- Tooled -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. Variety 1. Considered by Doug Winter as the second-rarest O-mint ten dollar Liberty. The mintage was small, with only 2,500 coins produced. Of that number it is estimated that perhaps 50-60 pieces exist today. Rarely is an 1841-O found in AU or even with AU Details. Tooling is mainly seen around the margins, most conspicuously in the area of UNITED on the reverse, and the coin has also been cleaned giving it an unexpected brightness. The strike details show only slight, but even high-point softness on each side.
