Conditionally Challenging Issue
1843-O $10 AU53 PCGS. Variety 4. The 1843-O is regarded by
some as a Southern gold No Motto type coin, but at PCGS the median
grade is XF45, and nice AU examples are scarce. The present
caramel-gold representative retains noticeable luster about the
stars, letters, and eagle. The surfaces exhibit the expected number
of small to moderate marks. Population: 34 in 53, 53 finer
