Attractive CAC Collector Coin

1880-CC $10 XF45+ PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-B. From a mintage of only 11,190 pieces, this 1880-CC Liberty eagle displays pleasing olive-gold patina with small hints of luster clinging to the protected peripheral fields. Wear is light, and there are surprisingly few singular abrasions. This is the only Plus-graded example in this grade at PCGS, and it is one of only two XF45 coins with CAC endorsement. Population: 37 in 45 (1 in 45+), 88 finer. CAC: 2 in 45, 20 finer (10/21).(Registry values: N991)
