    1881 Ten Dollar, MS64
    Vibrantly Lustrous, Green Label Holder

1881 $10 MS64 PCGS. As one might expect for an issue with a mintage of 3.8 million business strikes, the 1881 eagle is easily located through MS64. Gems are rare and PCGS still has graded just a single coin finer (12/19).

This is an uncommonly choice coin for the grade that is housed in an older PCGS holder and it has not been offered for sale since 2006. Luster is frosted and displays rich orange-gold color. Abrasions are pleasantly absent.
Ex: American Numismatic Rarities (6/2006), lot 2605, where it sold for $5,060.
From The Harvey B. Jacobson, Jr. Collection of Liberty Eagles. (Registry values: N1793)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 265W, PCGS# 8691)

    Weight: 16.72 grams
