    1906-O Ten Dollar, MS65+
    A Condition Census Example
    Ex: Simpson/Hall Collection

1906-O $10 MS65+ PCGS. CAC. Ex: Simpson-Hall. The 1906-O is the final eagle produced at the New Orleans mint. It has become more available in lower Uncirculated grades due to significant numbers of coins located in the MS60 to MS62 range. This date remains rare and in demand in Gem condition but only two pieces have been graded MS65 by PCGS, along with two each in MS65+ and MS66. The currently untraced Eliasberg coin is said to grade MS66 to MS67.

The Jacobson coin is tied with the example that sold for $26,400 as lot 3298 in the Heritage 3/2019 auction as the third finest graded by PCGS after a pair of MS66s (both of which have been off the market for decades).

This coin represents amazing quality for the date and grade, and it would make a wonderful type coin for the collector who seeks a single high-grade example of a With Motto eagle from New Orleans. Luster is beautifully preserved and radiant, yielding bright yellow-gold color and sharp devices.
    Ex: Simpson-Hall Collection.
