Description
NGC 1845 AU 55. A difficult coin in all grades, and considered "prohibitively rare" above XF according to Breen. There is apparently only one 1845 that grades strictly mint state and very few are known in AU with this being one of the finest known. This is a sharply struck piece with pronounced green-gold color. Much of the original prooflike surface is still evident in the fields.
