Description
PCGS 1860-S AU 53. An exceptionally rare coin in any grade, at the AU 53 level this is the finest example certified by either of the major services. It is newly certified also and doesn't appear on the January Population Report. The obverse fields are slightly reflective while there is no trace of this on the reverse. Well struck throughout with clean surfaces except for a long planchet rift at the bottom of the reverse that someone has tried to rub away with a cloth! Trends $18,250 in AU 50, unlisted any finer (1/25).
