1840-C $5 AU58 NGC. Variety 2-B. A remarkable piece with exceptional mint brilliance, the surfaces exhibit bright green-gold color. Both sides have the usual quota of minor surface marks that are especially visible in the fields. An outstanding piece, with few peers.
