Description
1841 $5 AU58 NGC. A scant 15,833 pieces were struck for this inordinately scarce Philadelphia issue. This is an untoned example with luminous peripheral luster and sharply struck devices. There are no mentionable marks. NGC has yet to certify any examples as MS61 or MS62 but has graded 20 coins between MS63 and MS65, which presumably indicates numerous resubmissions.(Registry values: P6)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25SN, PCGS# 8202, Greysheet# 8885)
