Bold Mint State 1841 Half Eagle
1841 $5 MS60 NGC. Some light field chatter is noted on both sides of this greenish-gold piece, but there is strictly no trace of wear, and the strike is boldly executed. This is a rare issue in the higher Mint State grades, as the initial mintage was low at 15,833 examples, most of which appear to have circulated at the time.
