Lovely 1841 Half Eagle MS62 PCGS

1841 $5 MS62 PCGS. This exactingly struck No Motto Half Eagle has pleasing cartwheel luster across the obverse, while the reverse is moderately prooflike. The light honey-gold surfaces have numerous small abrasions, but the overall appearance is clean and attractive. A slender vertical die crack (as produced) bisects the reverse. Only 15,833 pieces were struck, and Uncirculated survivors are very rare. Population: 3 in 62, 7 finer (6/05).(#8202)(Registry values: P6)
