Description

Crisp 1843-D Medium D Half Eagle, AU53

1843-D $5 Medium D AU53 PCGS. Variety 10-H. The more available of two Dahlonega half eagle varieties for the year. Semibright yellow-gold surfaces give off a slight greenish cast and the design elements exhibit strong detail. None of the distributed small marks are worthy of individual mention. Population: 11 in 53 for the issue, 28 finer (9/09).(Registry values: P2)
