1844 $5 MS62 NGC. The vast majority of 1844 half eagles saw extensive circulation, so it is a rare pleasure to find one that is still Uncirculated. Flashy luster enhances the reddish-gold surfaces of this well-struck coin. Numerous abrasions on each side are consistent with the grade.
