1844 Half Eagle, Bright MS62
Pinpoint-Sharp Strike
1844 $5 MS62 NGC. The 1844 half eagle ranks among the more
collectible No Motto five dollar gold pieces, although it is scarce
at this level and rarely offered above MS63. This is a bright,
pinpoint-sharp example with outstanding central design detail and
crisp stars. Mint luster glows around the borders, while peppered
abrasions explain the technical grade. Census: 11 in 62, 13 finer
