Not Sold Description
Sharply Struck 1845 Half Eagle, MS62
1845 $5 MS62 NGC. As expected from the relatively large mintage (417,099 circulation strikes), the 1845 half eagle can be found with little difficulty below Mint State. NGC and PCGS have graded fewer than 80 Uncirculated pieces, none above MS64. The yellow-gold surfaces of this MS62 example display partially prooflike fields and sharply struck design elements. Scattered small marks limit the grade. Census: 11 in 62, 15 finer (9/09).(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25TB, PCGS# 8223, GSID# 8890)
