The best estimate of the surviving population is 225-250 examples, with about 50 specimens in AU. The present coin features remarkable striking detail for a D-mint coin. The surfaces exhibit no distracting marks, with only minimal wear, suggestive of a higher grade. Population: 30 in 50, 91 finer (2/10).
