1845-D $5 AU58 NGC. Variety 12-I, the usual dies for this Dahlonega type coin. Fully struck, an unusual occurrence for the remote branch mint. Luster dominates the borders and devices, and the upper reverse displays apricot toning. A few small marks are seen near stars 6 and 7 and the Y in LIBERTY.(Registry values: P2)
