Choice XF 1845-D Five Dollar

1845-D $5 XF45 NGC. CAC. Variety 13-I. Well-defined for the grade with original, dusky orange-gold surfaces. Light, even wear and few faint marks overall, though an abrasion is present near the corner of Liberty's mouth. The '45-D is the most frequently encountered D-mint five, and this piece is an excellent candidate as a type representative of Dahlonega gold.(Registry values: P2)
