    1845-O Five Dollar, Well-Struck AU58
    Very Elusive Any Finer

1845-O $5 AU58 NGC. Variety 1. The only known die pair, with the 18 in the date repunched, as seen on all known examples. Near-Mint State, the grade of the present offering is likely to be the finest condition encountered by most collectors as Uncirculated coins are elusive, and are only infrequently offered in the lower levels of Mint State. Apricot-gold surfaces display ample luster and well-struck devices. The few minute circulation marks do not detract. Census: 31 in 58 (1 in 58+), 18 finer (7/19).

Thanks to Heritage I realized a handsome profit for my coin submissions and intend to send most of the remainder of my collection to Heritage Auction Galleries for future auctions.
