Impressive 1846 Large Date Half Eagle, MS62
1846 $5 Large Date MS62 NGC. Although the Large Date 1846 half eagle is the more available of the two major varieties, it is challenging in low Mint State grades and it would be virtually impossible to locate Choice specimen. Powerful luster radiates from the yellow-gold surfaces of the present coin. Scattered abrasions limit the grade, but the strike is razor-sharp.(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28BG, PCGS# 8226, GSID# 8891)
