1846-C Five Dollar, Unc Details
Razor-Sharp Definition

1846-C $5 -- Saltwater Damage -- NGC Details. Unc. Variety 1. Finely etched yellow-gold surfaces suggest an extended period of time submerged in saltwater. However, the razor-sharp devices remain unworn and abrasions are decidedly minor. The Charlotte branch mint struck 12,995 half eagles in 1846. Mint state survivors are major rarities.
