1846-D/D $5 VF30 PCGS. Variety 16-L. A boldly repunched reverse mintmark gives the 1846-D/D half eagles cachet beyond their significance as Southern gold. This midrange representative, housed in a green label holder, has dusky orange-gold surfaces with faint lavender-blue accents in the reverse fields.From The Cherokee County Collection, Part One.(Registry values: P3)
