Description
1846-D/D Half Eagle, AU58 PCGS
1846-D/D $5 AU58 PCGS. A popular, dramatically repunched overmintmark that is especially scarce in AU and better grades. This soft yellow-gold example displays an exceptionally well detailed strike for the issue, and the surfaces display no sizeable abrasions except for a tiny pinscratch between stars 5 and 6 on the obverse. A nice Dahlonega Half Eagle for the advanced gold collector.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25TH, PCGS# 8229, Greysheet# 8982)
Weight: 8.36 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
