1847 $5 MS63 PCGS. One of the more frequently encountered No Motto half eagles and often used as a type coin. This piece displays exceptionally strong mint luster, especially for a coin of this age. The fields are semi-reflective with a generous mixture of mint frost. Sharply struck throughout. The surfaces display rich orange-gold color and there are no obvious or detracting blemishes present. Population: 19 in 63, 6 finer (8/07).(Registry values: P5)
