1847-C $5 VF30 PCGS. CAC. Winter-1....
Description
1847-C No Motto Five, VF30
Original Branch Mint Piece, CAC
1847-C $5 VF30 PCGS. CAC. Winter-1. An original green-gold
half eagle from Charlotte, this VF30 displays subtle accents of
orange and lilac. Tiny remnants of dirt do not offend and attest to
the authenticity of this CAC-endorsed piece. The strike is typical
of the issue, showing softness on Liberty's curls and on the
eagle's neck, but the denticles and lettering are well-defined.
Only a few tiny nicks on the edge at 10:00 are noted. Circulated
pieces are highly sought after, as PCGS shows just a dozen in Mint
State (10/25).(Registry values: P4)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25TN, PCGS# 8233, Greysheet# 8985)
