1848 $5 MS61 NGC. CAC. This No Motto Philadelphia issue is scarce in Uncirculated condition and rarely offered so fine with a CAC endorsement. This piece has subtle reflectivity in the fields and only light surface chatter. Mild strike weakness occurs on the hair curls around Liberty's face and on the eagle's neck and the fletchings. Census: 14 in 61, 20 finer. CAC: 2 in 61, 2 finer (4/18).(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25TS, PCGS# 8236, Greysheet# 8894)
