A beautifully preserved Mint State example of this early Liberty Head half eagle mintage exceeding a quarter-million pieces, showing attractive luster and color and displaying relatively few marks for the grade. What contact marks do appear are mostly on the small side. Population: 10 in 61, 15 finer (1/16).(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25TS, PCGS# 8236, Greysheet# 8894)
