Pleasing AU 1848-D Five Dollar
1848-D $5 AU50 PCGS. Variety 18-M, State III. The reverse is prominently cracked through the A in STATES and across the tips of the two uppermost arrowheads. Softly defined at the margins, as usually seen, but mildly prooflike yellow-gold luster persists in the fields. Lightly abraded with small depressions on Liberty's neck, yet strongly appealing.
