1849-D $5 --Improperly Cleaned--NGC. XF Details. Variety 22-L. The mintmark is entered very close to the branch and feather, and the date is punched further to the right than is usual. A dull green-gold Dahlonega half eagle that offers glimpses of luster in design recesses.
