Bold 1850-C Five Dollar AU58

1850-C $5 AU58 NGC. Variety 15-F. An early die state with only faint die cracks near the FI in FIVE. This area eventually develops a prominent retained die break. This clean example is well struck save for minor incompleteness on the eagle's neck feathers. Liberty's cheek is a bit glossy, and faint marks are noted above the eagle's head.(Registry values: P3)
