Pleasing 1851-C Half Eagle, XF45

1851-C $5 XF45 NGC. Variety 16-G with the mintmark below the crotch formed by the stem and point of the arrow feather. A second reverse die is known with the mintmark far to the left, over the left top of the V. A pleasing light yellow example, enhanced by pale orange toning on each side. Scattered surface marks are consistent with the grade.(Registry values: P4)
