1851-C $5 XF45 NGC. Variety 16-G. The small circular hole on Liberty's earlobe is diagnostic for the issue. An older holder Charlotte Mint Five with noticeable luster, charming honey-gold color, and no distracting abrasions or planchet flaws. The strike is respectable although not sharp.
