Lovely Eye Appeal
1852 $5 MS64 CACG. The 1852 Liberty Head five dollar gold
had a large mintage of 573,901 coins struck, but this coin ranks
among the finest graded. Rich yellow-gold toning with olive
highlights blanket surfaces that have only a few minuscule
blemishes. Interesting small die cracks are found on the left hand
stars and the base of the date. Sharply struck with radiant luster,
this spectacular coin has lovely eye appeal. PCGS/NGC-graded coins
are rare this fine with just three reported finer. CAC has
stickered two coins in MS64 and two finer, but the current piece is
