Description
1852-C AU 58 PCGS. Even green-gold color covers both sides. The obverse has a slight amount of friction while the reverse is fully Uncirculated and approaches the choice level.
Of the 180 to 190 1852-C half eagles that are believed to exist, around 31 to 33 of these grade AU. There are as many as a dozen known in Uncirculated, making the 1852-C possibly the most obtainable half eagle from this mint in this grade range. This is primarily due to a small group of pieces located in 1986 that was said to contain five Mint State examples of this date.
