1853 $5 MS63 PCGS. From a mintage of 305,770 pieces, the 1853 Liberty half eagle is not difficult to locate in circulated grades, but Mint State examples are scarce, and most Uncirculated pieces are in the MS61-MS62 grade range. This well-detailed Select specimen retains traces of original mint luster and the pleasing yellow and rose-gold surfaces show a few minor contact marks on both sides. Population: 9 in 63, 1 finer (8/13).(Registry values: P4)
