Description

1853-C $5 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. XF Details. Variety 20-H. The 1 in the date is closer to the bust than the denticles, which is diagnostic for this variety. Bright lemon-yellow patina overlies the surfaces, with a tiny spot of detritus noted to the right of Liberty's neck. Myriad marks cover each side although none are particularly bothersome. An affordable type coin.(Registry values: P3)
