Mint State 1853-C Five Dollar
1853-C $5 MS61 NGC. Variety 1. A yellow-gold Mint State Charlotte No Motto five with luminous luster and clean surfaces. Visible marks are confined to a single thin line beneath OF. The reverse field has an occasionally granular surface, as coined from lightly clogged dies. A good strike for the North Carolina facility, although Liberty's curls and the eagle's neck feathers show some blending.
