1853-D $5 Large D MS62 PCGS. CAC. Variety 34-Y. Five die marriages are known for the mintage of 89,678 pieces. This Dahlonega type coin offers beautiful orange-gold color. No marks are consequential. The strike is above average for the Georgian facility, although the dentils on the lower obverse and upper reverse are softly brought up. Population: 8 in 62, 7 finer (2/15).(Registry values: P1)
