Description

1854 Half Eagle, MS63
Rare So Well Preserved

1854 $5 MS63 PCGS. In the absolute sense, the 1854 half eagle is fairly plentiful, but it is rare in MS63 and finer condition. This example is frosty and lustrous, showing bold definition on the devices. A few light marks define the grade but do not detract. Each side has rich orange-gold color. This is only the second MS63 example that we have handled since 2010. Population: 6 in 63, 5 finer (2/18).
