1854-O $5 AU58+ NGC. Variety 1. This sun-gold near-Mint No Motto New Orleans five features bright, lightly abraded surfaces. The strike is above average despite slight merging on the claws and forehead curls. A scant 46,000 pieces were issued, and most of that production was melted long ago. Census: 33 in 58 (1 in 58+), 11 finer (3/13).
