Description

1855-D $5 Medium D VF30 PCGS. Variety 32-W. Incorrectly attributed on the PCGS insert as the Large D mintmark. The Medium D is well to the right of the end of the feather tip, while the Large D has its upper serif nearly even with the feather tip. Honey-gold surfaces display hints of red. Typically struck, in that the centers are soft. There are no serious marks on either side. A nice looking coin overall.(Registry values: P4)
