1855-O $5 AU53 NGC. Variety 1. A mintage of only 11,100 pieces confirms the rarity of the 1855-O. This is a luminous peach-tinged representative with surprisingly few marks on the fields and devices. Nicely struck for a Southern gold No Motto issue. The rims show moderate contact above star 10 and the E in UNITED. Census: 12 in 53, 19 finer (12/16).(Registry values: P7)
