1855-O $5 XF45 PCGS. Variety 1. Both sides of this green-gold example are impressively lustrous for a circulated Louisiana half eagle. Only modest wear and wispy abrasions are noted on either the obverse or the reverse. Well-defined with considerable eye appeal for this low-mintage (11,100 pieces), conditionally scarce issue. Doug Winter estimates 90 to 110 examples extant. Population: 15 in 45, 35 finer (11/21).
